Which specimen type is recommended?

Whole blood(venipuncture/fingerstick), serum, and plasma are all acceptable; follow collection protocols strictly for optimal results. Fingerstick whole blood should be tested immediately.

What does a faint test line mean?

Any visible shade of color in the Test line (T) indicates a positive result, as intensity varies with antibody concentration.

How should specimens be stored?

Serum/plasma can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 3 days, or below -20°C for long-term storage. Venipuncture whole blood should be stored at 2-8°C and tested within 24 hours; do not freeze
