F.A.Q

What specimen types can be used with this test?

Whole blood (fingerstick/venipuncture), serum, and plasma are all acceptable. Fingerstick whole blood must be tested immediately; serum/plasma can be stored short-term at 2-8°C.

How long does it take to get results?

Results are ready in 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes, as it may be inaccurate.

What does a faint test line mean?

Any visible shade of color in the Test line (T) indicates a positive result, as intensity varies with antibody concentration.

Can this test detect early-stage HIV?

A negative result may occur in early infection if antibodies are not yet detectable. If clinical symptoms persist, additional testing with alternative methods is recommended.

Is there a risk of cross-reactivity with other infections?

No – the test has been validated to not cross-react with common infectious disease antibodies (e.g., HIV, HCV, Syphilis) or unrelated proteins.

What should I do if the control line does not appear?

The result is invalid. Review the procedure (check specimen volume, buffer addition, and test expiration) and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue use and contact the local distributor.
