F.A.Q

Can this test be used at home?

No. It is a professional in vitro diagnostic device for trained healthcare personnel.

Which specimen type is recommended?

Nasopharyngeal (NP) swabs are strongly recommended for antigen testing as they generally yield higher viral loads and better test sensitivity compared to oropharyngeal swabs.

How should I interpret a faint test line?

Any visible test line (T), regardless of its intensity, should be considered a positive result. This is a qualitative test only.

What does a negative result mean?

A negative result means that Influenza A and B antigens were not detected above the test’s limit of detection. However, it does not completely rule out influenza infection. Clinical correlation is essential.
